We will be updating our 2017 weekend themes soon!

You can come more than once and have a different experience each time.

Did I mention food? Farm guests will surely enjoy visiting the food corner for Hubb’s Doughnuts, Carmel Corn Nuggets, Roasted Corn and Pa’s Kitchen for a good Ol’ Made in NC Bright Leaf Hotdog and more!

So… come on down to Hubb’s Farm and “Be a Kid” again and have some good old fashion fun beginning September 17.

September 17 & 18, 2016   “Rise and Shine” Scouts Jamboree

“Rise and Shine” Scouts Jamboree Weekend is an excellent opportunity for Troops to come out and enjoy time together around a fire pit and to work on team building skills.  Not only will Scouts have a great safe camping experience, they will also have an opportunity to earn a Hubb’s Farm Patch by completing the maze trails. Oh and let’s not forget Saturday “Snipes” Hunting!  For more information and reservations, visit and click on Special Events. Other dates are available per request.

September 24 & 25, 2016   “Thank a Farmer” Ag Weekend

One of the most important careers in the world is farming.  Going to the grocery store is easy, so we may not always think about the sweat and tears that the farming community experiences as they grow America’s food.  “Thank a Farmer“ Ag Weekend is set-aside to remind us all to take the time to appreciate the importance agriculture plays in our everyday lives.  Say “thank you” to a farmer today for accepting this awesome responsibility of working the land and producing food for the world.  Farm guests will experience a bit of farm life while at play at Hubb’s Farm this weekend and on Saturday afternoon from 1 PM to 5 PM, have the opportunity to visit with Sampson County’s Ag Extension Agents as well as see tractor displays by the Sampson County’s Tractor Club.  And remember, “Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day; show him how to catch a fish, and you feed him for a lifetime.”

October 1 & 2, 2016    “Hubba, Hubba”  Weekend

It’s a six letter word that no one wants to hear.  Too often, it takes loved ones. Too often, it causes families to struggle emotionally, physically, and financially. According to the American Cancer Society’s Facts & Figures, in 2016, there will be an estimated 1,685,210 new cancer cases diagnosed and 595,690 cancer deaths in the US.  ACS recommends eating a variety of healthful foods, adopt a physically active lifestyle, maintain a healthful weight, and if you drink alcoholic beverages, limit consumption.  Also, regular screenings are extremely important for early detection.

This weekend is set aside to remember all those affected by cancer.  So… put on your pink everything and join Hubb’s Farm for “Hubba, Hubba” Weekend!!!

As a fundraiser, Hubb’s Farm Guests will have an opportunity to enter the “Paint a Pumpkin Pink” Contest.  Each participate may include “in memory of” or “in honor of” name on the pumpkin if they wish.  Proceeds will benefit cancer patients.    Also, “ Hubba, Hubba” Tee-shirts will be available for purchase with proceeds helping cancer patients.  FMI and to Preregister, visit and click on events.

October 8 & 9, 2016    “Freedom USA” Weekend

Courage is defined as mental or moral strength to venture, persevere, and withstand danger, fear or difficulty.  Join Hubb’s Farm as we salute our courageous veterans, military and military families during “Freedom USA” Weekend.  Our men and women in uniform and their families deserve utmost appreciation for their daily sacrifices.  Visit with the Sampson County’s Veterans Office information booth and “Battlefield to Bulldozers” information booth (1 PM to 5 PM).

“There are some who’ve forgotten why we have a military.  It’s not to promote war, it’s to be prepared for peace” ~President Ronald Reagan

Military receive $2 off their gate admission (military ID required).

October 15 & 16, 2016       “Hometown Heroes” Weekend

“Hometown Heroes” Weekend honors our first responders and their dedication to serving others on a daily basis.  These men and women often risk their lives in order to save the lives of others.  Be sure to stop by and give a “thank you” shout out to our special guests on this weekend.  Unless duty calls, there will be several agencies present for example- Sampson County’s Emergency Response, Sampson County’s Law Enforcement, NC Highway Patrol,  and  Herring Fire Dept.  Also, we hope to have a visit from our favorite Law Enforcement K-9 with a demonstration.    Again, let’s all show support for our “Hometown Heroes” everyday!  Demonstration Times TBA.

Mr. Bass will be in full dress honoring Richard Clinton’s Company of Duplin C. Milita. from 1 PM to 5 PM on Saturday, October 22 with demonstrations and display materials. November 25 & 26, 2016    The Polar Express & Santa, Too!

In 2012, Hubb's Farm began a new tradition with a Christmas presentation of the movie "Polar Express"  We call our event "The Polar Express & Santa too".  It was a chilly night that was warmed with all of the smiling faces, hot chocolate, smores and campfires.   We limit the attendance as we want to preserve the atmosphere of a small intimate theater.

Tickets will go on sale  October 1st through November 20nd or until the event sells out.  No walk up sales.
